Gosh.....

I'm a bad blogger these days. WHAT!... It's November too. Crap! Where did October go? Well, Brian went off to Idaho Elk hunting for 12 days. While the kids and I stayed in VA and had school, school projects, activity days, YWs, Trunk-or-Treat/chili feed and I started up a craft blog. So that means I have been crafting a bunch too. Here are some photos of the high lights.

Bass Pro Shop

We took a field trip on Saturday. The kids loved going to Cabela's every other day when we lived in Boise. So we thought we would see what the Bass Pro shop was like. It's a lot like Cabelas. The Pro shop is 100 mile from our house. 15 mile to go the kids were getting restless and started to fight. So Brian said "Put your leapers and mp3 players away and start counting the trees out your window."....Colby looked out his window and said "Well, that's hard."

Fishy fishy in the brook come and bit my little hook!
Karissa nice form. She is our little died eye.
Yes the gun is on Colby's shoulder.
Kyle just like to fire off the gun. And yes Brian has his LA hat on. We are not dodger fans. It means something else to us. When Brian took the job at Micron VA the guys he worked with in Boise gave him that hat to stand for Lame @#%.

Kadester was just drooling at all the cool things.

The kids love to 4 wheeler ride. They all want there own. Kyle would even take a pink one if it meant he would have is own. Colby would rather walk then have a pink one. We had a ton of fun.

MUSE & U2

Last night was the best! I love love love these bands and to have them together was.....I can't even really tell you have freakin' cool it was! The only down side was Muse didn't play long enough (really I could have had them pay another hour) and U2 didn't play all my faves. If they would have played them all it would have gone well past midnight. The concert went till after 11:30. Oh also the batters in my camera died and I didn't get to may photos.
The stage was unreal.I love MUSE!They are sooo cool!U2 how I love thee too!IT WAS WICKED SWEET! (the 1st two songs on my play list I heard live ;))

Yard Sales!

Here in VA I have made it to a few really cool yard sales. I'm not a die heart yet. Last weekend I did really well. I was able to get some Christmas toys for the boys. One of the big scores was a big Knex set that sales for around $80 and I got it for $5. The lady said that it was only put together once. I also got a side table for $5. I want to paint it black and make a checker board top.
This is another thing I picked up and I want to paint it. I'll do a before and after on my projects.

Work and Play

For the last few weeks we have been doing a ton of yard work. Clearing out the wooded area behind our house for the kids to play back there and also to get the poison ivy sprayed and gone. And our flower beds in the front. Oy the were bad.

We worked on a rock bed to drain the water. When we have rain storms we can get inches in a day.

This is a play set that was in the neighbors trash as in they were tossing it out. We are going to use the swings, slide and the rock wall stuff to build our own tree house.

The neighbors also had a Weber grill in the trash. You night think it doesn't work or something like that but it is in fine working order. I wonder how much we can get for it in a yard sale?

Colby is working hard to be our family photographer. this is Brain's Gene Simmons face. I think that's who he will be for Halloween.

A little catching up

We are back from our wonderful trip to the mighty west. I cannot tell you how much I miss the DRY mountain air. We have been back for a few week and have had sick kids, calling to do and talks to give, and playing with our friends from Ohio who were in town. Thank goodness we have 2 weeks until school start so we can get ready for that.
The last few weeks of our trip were so busy but loved every minute of it.

Karissa had 2 of her teeth pulled. The tooth fairy left her 2 dollars a tooth for being so brave. Grandpa built a water cannon. The kids loved this thing.

We went to the Ward's for a bond fire and had a blast.

They have such a fun back yard. The kids loved seeing the cotton tails. The thought they could get them and bring them home with us. Good thing they are fast.

Thanks to Kim and Chris for the boating trip to Lucky Pick. We loved playing in the water and getting out of the heat.
We made it to the rodeo with grandpa Bastian. The best part was "The clowns and the bull riding and the cowgirls with the light on them." The kids said.

We made it to the water park and LOVED it. We played hard all day.The Boise Zoo was a ton of fun. It was nice because they wasn't a ton of people.

We loved seeing everyone that we could. We love and miss our family and friends. You are always welcome at B&B Homer.
